Nice to be recognized…
Roland Brown’s reaction to being voted best attorney in a number of categories, and particularly in his primary field of practice, plaintiff’s personal injury law, is to point out that the honor of being selected is magnified by the fact that Hays County is home to so many fine attorneys.
Roland notes that the Hays County Bar association actively works to make these lawyers more responsive to the needs of all people in the County. He also appreciates the quality of the judges, clerks, court administrators and others who work hard to make justice a reality for our rapidly growing population.
Drawing on his 45 years of experience since graduating from Baylor School of Law, Roland joins others in taking opportunities to speak at Bar Association meetings and other functions for lawyers and judges on topics of importance to the profession. He has also taught in the Legal Studies Department at Texas State University. His relationships with other lawyers often results in those lawyers referring cases to him while also providing him with a variety of capable lawyers to whom he can refer folks who contact him with issues outside his field of practice.
Licensed by the Texas Supreme Court, U.S. District Courts – Western and Eastern Districts, and the U.S. Court of Appeals, New Orleans, and a member of numerous organizations including the Texas Trial Lawyers Association, and a former member of the State Bar of Texas Grievance Committee, Roland states that it continues to be his passion for people and a corresponding passionate pursuit of justice instilled in him by his lawyer father that keeps him fresh and ready for new challenges.
Among the cases he has tried and settled involving injuries from truck, auto and motorcycle crashes, defective products, and other tragedies, he clearly relishes the victories in smaller damage cases as much as the larger jury verdicts and settlements he secures. He embraces the reality that personal injury trial law is both art and science, both acting and truth seeking, both technical and human. Roland and his wife, Gayle, take time to “smell the roses” in their beloved community of Wimberley where his office is located.
